Asia Centre had the pleasure of visiting the Institute of International Relations of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) in Shanghai.
The delegation was composed of Arnaud Leveau, President of the Centre, accompanied by François Issard, Head of Climate and Energy Studies, and Katia Strikker, Asia Centre Young Talent Programme.
The delegation was welcomed by Liu Aiming, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Relations, together with Li Lifan, Associate Research Fellow and Director of the SHE Research Centre, Luo Yongkun, Executive Director of the Southeast Asia Research Centre, Yan Xiaoxiao, Associate Research Fellow, and Dr. Zhao Yihei.
The discussions focused on the evolving economic relationship between China and the European Union, the dynamics shaping interactions between China, ASEAN and Europe, energy-related challenges, and broader regional developments.
The exchange illustrated the value of sustained dialogue at a time of rapid economic and geopolitical transformation.
