A former student of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration, Jean-Yves Colin worked for the French Treasury, where he was Financial Advisor to the French Embassy in Japan (1987-1990). He then joined the Crédit Agricole Group, where he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the asset management subsidiary, now known as Amundi, and Director of Compliance for Crédit Agricole S.A. Since leaving the banking group in 2013, Jean-Yves Colin has joined Asia Centre, where he is a member of the Board of Directors and an expert on North Asia.

Ancien élève de l’Ecole Nationale d’Administration, Jean-Yves Colin a été en poste à la Direction du Trésor, où il a notamment occupé la fonction de Conseiller Financier auprès de l’Ambassade de France au Japon (1987-1990). Il a ensuite rejoint le Groupe Crédit agricole, a été directeur général délégué de la filiale de gestion d’actifs, désormais connue sous le nom d’Amundi, et directeur de la conformité de Crédit agricole S.A. Depuis son départ de ce groupe bancaire en 2013, Jean-Yves Colin a rejoint Asia Centre, où il est membre du conseil d’orientation et expert Asie du Nord.

From June 28th to June 30th, the leaders of NATO countries met in Madrid to define future strategic orientations. On this occasion, Jean-Yves Colin wrote a short paper, in which he discusses the relevance of the participation of Japan and South Korea.
